How do I stop spam messages about Apple Account from Total AV?

I keep getting several text messages from different numbers and emails every day that say my cloud account is being disabled and I need to upgrade to more storage. It has the Apple logo but is from Total AV. How can I stop this?

As you have seen the spammers spoof the number/address to make blocking not effective. Neither Apple nor your email provider will read your messages to determine if they are Spam or not. You can check with your cell provider as many do have an optional service that may help block spam from known numbers that help reduce spam, but not stop it all due to the spoofed numbers. There are also third party spam blocker services, but none of them are 100% effective either.

Yea, AT&T has the service called AT&T Active Armor, but it is just for spam calls and for reporting spam they just recommend forwarding to 7726. There are spam text blocking apps in the App Store, but as I said there are not 100% effective and the results and price for those services will vary.

On your device you can filter the messages from unknown senders and all those will go into an Unknown Sender folder, but you will still need to look through this just to make sure you did not get a legitimate message from a new number or one that is not in your Contacts.
