If you bought it directly from Apple, you have 14 days to return it for a refund and get something else. If you bought it somewhere else, ask the retailer what their return policy is.
Otherwise, just get a case in whatever color you want.

Oh thatâs cool! Thank you for the info.

Hello!
I donât think you can just willy nilly swap out an iPhone just because you donât like the color. Not if thereâs nothing wrong with the iPhone, and you canât claim warranty on it for some defect. I canât see anyone letting you do that, unless you have a good friend who owns a phone store or something.
The one of the goals of Apple Retail is great customer service and great customer experiences, which encompasses returns. Apple wants happy customers, and if a color change makes a customer happy and within company guidelines, then by all means make the customer happy. đ

Quite understandable. Now, just out of curiosity, did you notice a lot of âcolor change returnsâ in your career? Unless you canât say.
Yes, I can speak to your question. Itâs fairly rare, but did happen. In the early days stores would keep their open box items and one a month or so have an open box sale. Apple halted that 5 or 6 months before the very first iPhones went on sale. Apple then established the online refurbished store.
Back then the return policy was 30 days, which was customary for all retailers. Colors were limited and at best you had black (gray?) and white to choose from.
Returning for color choices increased when the range of colors expanded from just two options. The 5c in 2013 marked the real turning point.
You could return a perfect iPhone just because you donât like the color?
Interesting. Thanks for sharing!
Youâre welcome!
