Can’t see the Clock on Lock Screen iPhone

Can’t see the clock on the Lock Screen after I was locked out. It happened when I took my iPhone 12 from my purse and it says to wait one minute then 3 mins then 5 mins. I tried reboot several times. Took an hour to finally access. Clock is now hard to see. Tried different ways but no improvement. Can’t figure it out!

iPhone 12 Pro Max, iOS 18

I would try to do a restart first, but if you've done that before, I would check if the dim clock might be tied to a display setting.

A. Go to Settings > Display & Brightness and check if Auto-Brightness is on.

B. If Auto-Brightness is on, toggle it to OFF. Manually slide the brightness slider up to see if the clock becomes more visible.

Another possibility is that Low Power mode is affecting the Lock Screen.

A. Check Settings > Battery

B. Turn off Low Power Mode

If the clock is still faint, you could try to customize the Lock Screen to reset it's appearance.

A. Press and hold on the Lock Screen, tap "Customize", and then select "Lock Screen".

B. Tap the clock to adjust its font, color, or style. Pick something bright and see if this stands out more.

Hope this helps!

I did Force Restart a number of times. Did not work. But this -- turning volume up and down then force retart worked like magic.
