Airpods pro 2 making a ringing noise when they're moved

My airpods are new and don't seem to have anything physically wrong with them. But every time I pick them up or move my bag with them inside, they start making a ringing sound for about 15-20 seconds. The ringing sounds like a phone call or alarm sounding for example, and I'm not sure what it means. It's very annoying as at work / in scenarios where I'm meant to be quiet, I can't get it to stop making the sound.

Ringing from AirPods While Not in Use:

That’s not a feature of AirPods. So, where did you purchased these? If not from Apple, then you might want to return these to the seller, as them may have sold you fake AirPods.

Updating these:

AirPods cannot be updated in their own. They are updated when you connect it to a devices that itself is connected to the Internet. This is because AirPods are not assigned an IP Address. So, connect to the Internet, if not already done.

Hi, they are definitely Airpods. I purchased them through my work, they only purchase Apple products and when they arrived they were in the official packaging etc.

Verify of these are Fake AirPods:

If these were "purchased thorough work" by you, then I would think you have no concern for loss of money, when it comes to your end. But, for the sake of never getting these to work, verify if these are fake or not. Find the serial number of your AirPods, and then enter it here: Check Your Service and Support Coverage - Apple Support. If all shows up as AirPods Pro, then you are all set.

I just entered the serial number and the website you shared confirmed they are real Airpods. I'm not really concerned about a loss of money though I just want the noise to stop. If it helps, a green light flashes when it makes the sound

Perform a Reset:

Hi, they are definitely Airpods. I purchased them through my work, they only purchase Apple products and when they arrived they were in the official packaging etc. I have seen other articles online saying something similar to what I am experiencing so I do think this occurs with Airpods, however I have seen no solutions online! If you don't know that's fine though, someone else might reply who knows :)
