Why does plugging in my charger improve video call quality on my 2017 MacBook Pro (Ventura)?

This question is regarding my 2017 13- inch MacBook Pro (Ventura) laptop :

Why does plugging in my charger make my connection/ signal better? i.e. it doesn't freeze up, my video calls don't freeze or lag and picture is clear and not so pixelated and fuzzy, aka I can video call as I should be able to vs. when I unplug it from the charger and all **** breaks loose and my Mac basically can't function properly ?????? I'm so confused ?????? don't you think it would be the other way around............ makes no sense esp. bc my Mac gets physically hotter and seems to have to work more when the charger is plugged in. what would the charger have to do with my signal / connection?.......

it's weird.

does anyone else have this issue ?

I recently had connection issues with my video calls and then we called Verizon, got a new router, and it began working SO much better, up until this whole charger issue thing... its like its going back to how it was before our new router....

apple is so weird.
