Poly headsets - Mic now rubbish

Heya folks,

I've got an issue where I've got three different Poly headsets,

Voyager 5200, 6400 and Free 60...

All the mic's have stopped working properly - Awful pickup if anything but static.

Audio is fine to hear.

But it's the phone, not the headsets - as I pair them to my Pixel 8 - clear as day.

Firmware is up to date.

Deleted the pairing, re paired. Same result.

Bought some Soundcore earbuds - No problems.

Just appears to be Poly vs my iPhone 15 Pro Max since running iOS 18...

Getting frustrated now we are up to 18.3.2 and it's still a problem.

No, I didn't miss any point. Perhaps Poly needs to release an update for their headphones to work with iOS 18. But that isn't something Apple has ANY ability to do. Apple doesn't own the company who makes them. Apple has no ability to make them work with iOS 18. That's something Poly has to do. Before ANY iOS update is released every company who has an app in the App Store is provided the API (Application Protocol Interface) to ensure their app is capable of running on the new iOS. You need to turn to Poly for help. We users on this user to user only forum can't help you.

I have 5 different pairs of Bluetooth headphones connected to my iPhone running iOS 18.3.2. None of them are having any issues at all. But if one did, I'd go to the manufacturer of them as I understand Apple has nothing to do with them. By your own admission, the Soundcore's you bought are working as expected. But you have 3 pairs of Poly's which aren't working as expected. The common denominator is with Poly.

So what you are saying is that it's Apples fault, but Polys problem...

Gotcha.

I didn't say that all, but if you want to believe so, that's fine. That said, complaining here won't get you anywhere. This is a user to user only forum, which no one from Apple reads for feedback and I'm pretty positive no one from Poly does either.
