iPhone to MacBook Air AirDrop - Files transferring as 0 bytes and inaccessible

I am trying to transfer files from my iPhone 16 Pro to my 2022 M2 MacBook Air. This has been completely fine up until today (18 March 2025) where the files now have abruptly stopped transferring correctly. They instead arrive in the AirDrop folder "greyed out" and Zero bytes. See attached:

How do I fix this? I have already done a reboot of both iPhone and MacBook.

MacBook Air, macOS 14.6
