Magic Keyboard space bar suddenly doesn't work

Make sure that in your Accessibility settings you have Full Keyboard Access turned OFF.

Please restart the computer in Safe Mode. Shut down the computer, unplug all wired peripherals, (printers, scanners, External Hard Disks, etc), plug keyboard into the charging cable that came with the keyboard. Do Safe Mode restart, then restart normally and test.
