In the iPhone Camera app, how do I initiate object recognition?

Playing around with my new iPhone 16, I some how initiated an object recognition feature. I pointed at an object, and it told me what it was. Flora. Fauna. This is before the picture is taken. NOT AFTER.

Can anyone tell me how I did it? How do I initiate this process. v18.3.2

Can't open Visual Intelligence With Camera Control Button in iPhone 17 Long pressing the camera control button should open the visual intelligence. But I can't do the same on my new iPhone 17. I checked the same with apple support team, but they were not able to resolve the issue. Is anyone else also facing the same issue? IOS 26.2 hoping to fix Wyze cam app, the cam sequencing issue. Will ios 26.2 fix then Wyxe cam sorting in the app? Nothing works to put my Wyze cams in the sequence I want in the app! The newest cam shows first. You can’t move to a lower spot? iOS 262.1 glitch? I have iPhone 16 pro max Thank, Fred

This is a feature called visual intelligence. You can activate it by using the Camera Control button on the lower right side of your iPhone.
