From the Technical Specifications for the iPhone 16e:

USB 2 (up to 480Mb/s)

No DisplayPort [Alt Mode] == no support for HDMI output using USB-C to HDMI adapters.

That is correct. The iphone 16e is an economy model and doest have all the features the higher end iPhone 16 models do.

It does support external storage drives but does not support and HDMI output.
