Burning smell from my iPhone 16 Pro Max charging port

I plugged my iphone 16pro max for charging, the moment i put my cable in it started smelling and i removed the charging cable immediately. And when i looked the charging port it is black

If your phone is still plugged in, unplug it immediately (which you have already done). If it’s still on and functioning, turn it off.
