9 generaltion iPad. Still worth buying? found one brand new for $199-walmart

Walmart has the ninth generation iPad selling for 199 right now not refurbished or anything. Is it still worth picking up? I just thought that was a pretty good price. I currently have the first generation iPad Pro 9.7 inch but it’s no longer receiving iOS updates.

Only you can determine whether or not an iPad9 fits your needs - or has suitable longevity.

History demonstrates that Apple typically provides system software updates for five to seven years from initial release of an iPad model, in later years updates being restricted to just "point" security updates.

The iPad9 was released in September 2021, almost four years ago.

You can do the math - and draw your own conclusion as to the potential lifespan of your investment.
