after 18.3.1 and 18.3.2 updates my music library went haywire

After updating my iPhone 11 to 18.3.1 the albums in my library suddenly split into 4 or 5 albums. Some songs are even missing. I updated to 18.3.2, it is the same, nothing was fixed. If I want to listen to an album some of them are multiple albums. I have synced it with my computer, which is still great, no problem with music or the albums. But the iPhone stayed the same.

All the music is mine, some from CD's some purchased from iTunes. I have had all the music for years, before iTunes split into store, music, podcasts, etc. Before Apple Music, which I don't have and will not purchase. Before the updates everything was great. Now it's s---. And the Genius bar was no help.

Any suggestions.

IF the problem is that an album has split over two or three albums - i.e. some tracks on one album, some on another, but the album name and artwork look the same, then you need to select all the album's tracks and change the name slightly, which should join them back together, then you can change it back. You have to do it album by album.

For example, let's assume that the album called "Wish You Were Here" shows as:

Wish You Were Here

1 Shine on You Crazy Diamond, Pts. 1-5

2 Welcome to the Machine

Wish You Were Here

3 Have a Cigar

4 Wish You Were Here

5 Shine on You Crazy Diamond, Pts. 6-9

Then you need to select all the tracks (1 to 5 in this case), right-click, select Info and add some characters to the end of the album name - something like "Wish You Were Here xxx" This should join the album back together and then you can re-rename it "Wish You Were Here" again.

You have to do it album by album I'm afraid. I don't know a quick way of doing it or why it happens.

I've been careful explaining it to make sure it's the problem you're having. If it's not then apologies for misunderstanding.
