I have iOS 18 running on an iPhone 15. I folllow the advice for adding a widget by holding my finger down on the Lock Screen until customize comes up. I can choose between lock screen and Home Screen. I choose Lock Screen. I can click on + which ought to give a choice of adding a new widget. But I only get a choice of new wallpaper. What am I doing wrong?

I finally moved through the different wallpaper choices until I found one with a + sign and after I added a new wallpaper design it came up with an option of adding a new widget. I now have a widget on my Lock Screen and I can Now click on the widget to add more widgets. I really appreciate you for taking the time to answer the question. My phone must have been in an adnormsl state.
