Try and troubleshoot it step by step to pinpoint the cause and resolve it:

1. Check for Software Updates

  • Go to Settings ➡️ General ➡️ Software Update and ensure your iPhone is running the latest iOS version. Updates often include fixes for known issues.

2. Restart Your iPhone

  • A simple restart can sometimes resolve temporary issues. Press and hold the Side Button and either Volume Button, then slide to power off. Turn it back on after a few seconds.

3. Inspect the Microphone and Speaker

  • Ensure the microphone and speaker are clean and free of debris. Use a soft, dry brush to gently clean them if needed.

4. Test Audio in Other Apps

  • Try using the microphone and speaker in other apps like Voice Memos or FaceTime. If the issue persists across apps, it might be a hardware problem.

5. Reset Network Settings

  • Go to Settings ➡️ General ➡️ Transfer or Reset iPhone ➡️ Reset ➡️ Reset Network Settings. This will reset Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular settings but won’t delete your data.

6. Test with Speakerphone or Headphones

  • Make a call using the speakerphone or connect headphones (wired or Bluetooth) to see if the issue is specific to the earpiece.

7. Check for Physical Damage

  • If your iPhone has been dropped or exposed to water, it could cause hardware issues. In this case, visiting an Apple Store or authorized service provider might be necessary.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, it could be a hardware defect or a deeper software issue. I recommend that you contact 👉 Official Apple Support OR you can always get your iPhone examined at the Apple Store 👉 Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options or at an Authorized Service Center for further diagnosis and evaluation.
