iPhone 16 Pro to an IPsec VPN problem

Help me figure this out: when I connect my iPhone 16 Pro to an IPsec VPN, it disconnects after 3–5 minutes if I’m not using the phone. The same VPN is connected on my iMac, and it can run for hours without any disconnections. What could be the problem?

VPN issues with iphone 17pro Hi I recently got an Iphone 17 pro running iOs 26, I just couldn't get it to connect to the wifi without glitches - one minute connected and the next disconnected, some apps would not load and others kept giving me error messages. I tried resetting routers, turning phone, airplane mode and wifi on and off, the thing that solved it for me was deleting my VPN, everything started working perfectly. I will try reconnecting the VPN from scratch and see if it is stlll buggy, but for anyone who is stumped - try this. Cheers

Please contact the support team for the VPN service. IPsec is third party software. Apple does not offer support for non-Apple products or services.
