Does the 2024 iPad Air support Face ID?

I have a brand new iPad Air 13 2024 (M2 chip). Does it allow face id recognition?

Sorry, no. Only the recent iPad Pro models support Face ID. See: iPhone and iPad models that support Face ID - Apple Support

The iPad Air supports Touch ID.
