How to effectively stop text spam using TCPA laws and PEWC?

Stumbled on a more effective way to stop 'em than 7726 or robokiller. Just reply with the following spamicide:

$1,500 per phone call if the consumer can show that the business violated TCPA laws knowingly and willfully.

You have 10 days to show prior express written consent (PEWC).

In most cases the sending number is spoofed and is also why blocking has little effect. They will not get any reply message. Usually a SPAM message will have a VOIP phone number to call which is untraceable or a link to click in an attempt to phish information. Many actually originate in other parts of the world where they could care less about any US laws.

It may work on a legitimate business based in the US, but for those texting STOP or unsubscribing from text notifications on the companies website will also work. They would not be spoofing their phone number. You also have the option of reporting those with the FTC.

No doubt Mac Jim is correct. However, my web crawl indicates mass text sending services devote substantial ad space to avoiding TCPA liability. For good reason, as class action total awards (near $1/2B and counting) are regarded as low hanging fruit by predatory law firms. One of the features offered by the sending services for reducing lawsuit risk is a list of 'poison' phone #s, such as those belonging to former plaintiff class members. Another offered feature is an AI powered response sorter, so friendly vs hostile replies can be sorted for appropriate human followup.

Anyway, my spam text count has gone down more than 90% in the three days I've been using this 'poison pill' reply approach. Are the AI bots seeing red when "TCPA" and "PEWC" appear in a reply ?
