Dried Water Marks under Screen of my MacBook Air

What can I do? My screen is hard to look at and see because it is all marked up. Some water got under my screen a few weeks ago and it must be dried on. A

nything I can do?

Unfortunately, if enough water worked its way inside your Mac's display, there is a real chance that it has worked itself into other area of your laptop as well.


Regardless, don't be fooled into thinking you can place your Mac in a bag of rice or any other type of desiccant. It won't work and it could introduce other problems. The important thing now is to stop using your Mac until either of the following:


  • The liquid completely evaporates, or
  • You take it in to your local Apple Store or an Apple Authorized Service Provider to have them take a look and provide you with your options.


Failing to do either, is taking a chance that more significant damage will not occur. Is that worth the price of having to replace your MBA at full cost to you?
