Will Apple storage revert to 5 GB after cancellation?

If I paid for Apple storage a few months and I cancel it will it go back down to 5gb? And it won’t be 50 anymore

Not only will it revert back to 5GB but what you synced in excess of 5GB will be wiped away. If you are using more than 5GB of space in iCloud, iCloud backups will stop as well, putting you at risk of losing data you may not want to lose. Be very sure that for the $12 a year the 50GB plan costs, you can afford to lose things, like photos, etc.

I read a recent article published by the National Archives about how families are losing a second generations visual history.

The one thing about film is, it takes decades to fade away (barring catastrophic events) yet people erase decades of their family history, in both joy and sadness, with a click of a button. I’ve 50 plus years of film (analog) photographs as well as 25+ of digital. A dollar a month is a bargain for all those memories. 😀

Beyond a bargain actually. We went to Starbucks this afternoon. Two premium drinks cost more than a year of iCloud storage. Maybe memories don't mean as much to others as they do to us! There's an old British saying, which comes to mind........."don't be penny wise and pound foolish!"
