find my app only vibrates

When I have FIND MY app play a sound, my old iPhone only vibrates. Bluetooth, WiFi, & sound are all on and working fine. I've restarted both normally and in safe mode. Any ideas other than wiping it? It says pending connection, but I've placed both phones next to each other and they both say they're connected

Why is the “Find My” sound not working on my iPad? The “Fund My” app shows my iPad as being in my home but the sound locator function won’t play. The displayed message is that the sound will play when the device is connected. But it’s already connected to my home WiFi. I’m worried that the battery will die before I find it. Why Is there no 'Play Sound' in Find My iPhone? I updated my iphone 12 to ios 18.4.1 and now the ‘find my’ app had no ‘play sound’ function. I cant use it to help me find my keys or wallet in the house! [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Make sure you’re triggering the sound Find My devices path, and not the people Find My path.

Then try a forced restart, and check again.

When I use the Find My 'play sound' on my old phone, my new phone plays a sound.
