If your VO2 Max readings aren't generating during brisk walking or other cardio activities, here are some potential reasons and solutions.

1. Activity Type: VO2 Max is typically calculated during outdoor walking, running, or hiking workouts. Ensure you're selecting the correct workout type in the Apple Watch Workout app.

2. Duration and Intensity: The activity needs to be sustained for at least 20 minutes at a moderate to high intensity. If your pace or heart rate is too low, the watch may not calculate VO2 Max.

3. Location Services: VO2 Max calculations require GPS data. Make sure location services are enabled for your Apple Watch and iPhone.

4. Health Data Permissions: Check that your Apple Watch and iPhone have the necessary permissions to record and share health data. Go to the Health app, tap your profile picture, and ensure all permissions are enabled under Apps and Devices.

5. Software Updates: Ensure your Apple Watch and iPhone are running the latest software versions. Sometimes, updates fix minor issues that could affect data recording.

6. Reset Calibration: If none of the above works, you can reset your fitness calibration data. Go to the Watch app on your iPhone, tap Privacy, and select Reset Fitness Calibration Data.
