How can I prevent notification settings, Bluetooth, Always on Display, and Downtime from changing by themselves after factory reset on my iPhone?
Basically I am looking for clarification as I believe my iCloud or iPhone is being hacked either through my wifi or Bluetooth, but can't figure out where to stop it. I've considered it could be the OMG charger as well.
I had an issue where I was connected to an unknown laptop network at work. Found a usb drive in my laptop that I couldn't remember from where. Walked out after work one day to "catch" a truck sitting diagonally in a parking spot, facing my car, at 7PM at night(normal 9-5pm office hours in a large office building). As soon as I walked out, the truck drives away.
Now, when my iPhone is plugged into my car, if I try to log in via Google, it says I am in a city 3 hours away. So I stop doing that.
Then, I factory reset my phone at night. Wake up, go to work, and my iPhone is stating that I am logging into Google in a city 30 minutes away. I discover my Facebook was logged into a few weeks ago via MacOS in the same city.. I do not own a Mac. So that's why I believe it is a Bluetooth, Wifi, or OMG cable. I've checked about Private Relay. If I reset my Network settings and try again immediately, it will update to say that I am in my current right city, so I don't believe it's just Google giving an estimate, when it is correct about my location after resetting.
Finally, I have screenshots of the notification preview settings being set to "show preview when unlocked" after a factory reset and installation of the apps. For some reason, randomly later on, Messages, Hinge, Tinder, will have their message preview settings changed to "Never". So only communication apps. Basically leading me to believe it is an ex that is messing with me. I've had multiple girls after getting their number and texting them, respond with their first text of "Sorry, I actually can't talk to you anymore" with some weird reason. After agreeing to a date on the dating app, with no actual explanation.
I even purchased a brand new iPhone 16. Set up a new Apple ID. Working fine. Then I download some of those apps, sign in(tied in and logging into my original Apple ID email which is a gmail, for either a login code, etc), and somehow after that, the notification settings change along with "Always On Display" being turned on. Like after reset, it's not on. An hour later, it's on. I can't figure out how this is happening. Is it via my Wifi? I try to instantly turn on Screen Time and Face ID required after resetting it but seems like they are getting perhaps the shortcuts installed before I get those turned on.
I also have found sometimes after (I think but not sure if this is the trigger), plugging my phone in with a cord(bought off Amazon, have tried 2 different kinds), I see "BT_PERIPHERAL" with PRIVACY under it and PHOTOS with PRIVACY in all caps under it, in my settings recent search. Is that some Shortcuts hack? Because when I click on it, it opens up to the privileges, then App Clips, but is blank listing no actually App Clips(which I don't know what those actual are even).
Plus my phone will sometimes get extremely hot while charging and slow, other times be normal temp and very quick. Which is normally when the funky stuff is happening as it is burning hot and barely charging.
I purchase a new Iphone 16 as after factory resetting and installing apps. Works normal. I log into that old Apple ID thinking the new phone will be fine. And what do you know, the dating apps, Hinge, Tinder, and also Messages, all have their notification preview changed to Never. I change it back, but feel like they're already "in my phone" at that point.
And before anyone says this is impossible, I discovered that my ex had logged into my SmartLock door app to turn off notifications for someone entering, and that my old Samsung Galaxy S10 phone I used for games, had clearly been opened up and glued back together. Because the back case randomly came off and had messy glue not similar to what I see online. So, someone did something with that phone at the least, I don't know what.
I'm just looking for how to finally figure out how this is happening, and any help to stop it. The Apple Store said that notifications don't change like that, especially only those certain ones, but couldn't tell me how to stop it. Thank you!
