Audible Purchases with apple pay

Audible, does not support Apple Pay. If you logged in with your existing Amazon account any charges will made to the payment methods on your Amazon account. Apple is not involved in this process.

If you logged in with your Apple account to the Audible app on an iPhone or iPad, any charges and purchases will made to the payment method on file with your Apple Account. Apple Pay is not used in this case either.

Apple may bundle charges together and process them 24 to 48 hours after the purchase.

That is odd. Maybe you had gift card balance on your Amazon or Apple accounts, and it was used for that instead of charging your payment method.
