the lid of my MacBook Pro glues shut when closed

I own an M2 Max 14" MacBook Pro. It has a problem, though: whenever I leave it closed for a day or more, the lid glues to the MacBook, making it difficult to open with one hand. I need a solution for this.

why macbook pro 16" lid so tight when i down the lid? After using the Macbook Pro 16" 2021 for a while, it is very hard to close the lid. Please can you help with what is happening?

Lid on my MacBook Pro won't fully close. I have a 2013 MacBook Pro and it works fine, does what I want. Up to about 3 months back the lid would close properly, meet the base with a nice 'thunk', tightly closed. Now when it is closed it springs back open, it won't shut. It's like a door springing open in a poor fitting door frame. The laptop still works fine , no problems, just the lid won't shut. The gap is about 1.5cm, my finger will fit in. I can slide a piece of paper between the lid/black hinge bar and frame then close the laptop and the paper will still slide out so nothing appears to be out of alignment. Is it something I need to worry about and get fixed or can I happily ignore it ? Cheers and thanks. Brian.

apply something with a huge surface area to adhere to the stickiness. Corn Starch is the usual recommendation.

on the gasket around the edge of the display. it's black in color.

that depends completely on how messy you are about it.

consider using a very fine artist's brush to apply only to the black gasket.
