I need to turn off the Find My iPhone alert

I tried to find my phone function to practice and now I can’t turn off the alert or the sound except by rebooting. What is the intended way of stopping that alert once you find that phone? There must be a way but it is not obvious. i’m using an iPhone 15 that’s updated to the latest OS as of March 25, 2025.
