How do I change the default calendar from Gmail to 'home'?

When I go to add an event in my calendar, it goes to a Gmail calendar. How do I change the default to “home”?

Setting default calendar I am trying to change my default calendar to my Google Calendar. I disconnected my Apple calendar that was previously the default, but after that, the "default calendar" option in Settings>Calendar doesn't appear anymore. How can I change my default calendar to my Google calendar and have the option show in settings again?

Google Other Calendars not showing in Apple's Mac Calendar, nor on iOS I use EM Client for my emails and Google Other Calendars show up fine there as they do in Thunderbird. However, in Mac and iOS, I cannot see Other Calendars. I've tried disabling the account and deleting content and re-enabling it. I've tried deleting the account from Mac and iOS and setting up the email account again on both. I can see the main Google calendar just fine on both, but not Other Calendars. BTW, this is happening on two separate and unrelated gmail accounts. So it appears to be an Apple issue.

can I set my google calendar as the default calendar in Sonoma 14.0 I am having trouble when I download appointments from my HCP into my calendar. I use google calendar because it works so well with my gmail account. When I download appoints now, I get a calendar event now it ends in .ics When I click on it it loads into iCal on my MBP. But sometimes it will show up in my google calendar and most times it doesn't. Is there a way to set my MBP to download all calendar events into my google calendar? Maybe the better question is, is there a way to make google calendar my default calendar on my MBP?

Hello srfnswm,

Go to Settings > Apps > Calendar > Default Calendar, then select the calendar you want to use as your default calendar.
