How do I fix flickering widgets on iPhone 13?

For a while now (several updates) my widgets have been flickering. When I say flickering, they look like a bright strobe light, flashing bright white. Fortunately I’m not affected by flashing lights but if someone was this would be very disturbing for them. I can see that it’s not just me experiencing this and I have tried all the suggestions such as removing and reinstalling the widgets, resetting the Home Screen, restarting the phone, and none have worked. I have an iPhone 13 running iOS 18.3.2 so is it just a case that Apple have done something to encourage me to update to the latest iPhone, or is that me being cynical and grumpy!
