How do I fix streaming issues on Apple TV+, Netflix, Disney, and Max after macOS 15.3.2 update?

Had a lot of issues with streaming after I updated to 15.3.2 on my Macbook M1 Pro.

On the Apple TV app, I can't seem to stream anything. When I press to watch a show, I'll just get a black screen with the streaming UI, but no picture or sound. Weirdest part is, it can play recaps fine. For example, when trying to stream Severance, it'll stream the recap, but once the recap is finished, black screen, nothing happens.

On Safari, I'm not able to stream anything on Netflix, Disney, or MAX. On Netflix I get error message S7706. On Disney, nothing happens, just black screen like on the Apple TV app, and on MAX I get error message 1K-0036.

For Apple TV, I tried to log in and out, stream different shows, reopen the app, restart my Macbook.

For the streaming services on Safari, I've tried to clear cache and history, disable plugins/extensions, restart my MacBook, and restart Safari while holding down shift.

What's going on here? All happened after the update. Any solutions?

Thanks!

seems an oddity...

I trust you have shut down and restarted more than once since your simple point "update." This is always recommended after any macOS upgrade or "update" in your case.

Uninstall all third party apps that are Cleaners/Optimizers/VPN/Anti-Virus — even if they worked before, they may not be compatible with the current macOS 15.3.2 —I will say they are all known to cause issues on the macOS

Certainly try a different browser and compare your results— All I see here is Safari, Safari, Safari...(?)

unplug all non-essential peripherals when testing

To trouble shoot further you can:

—A SafeBoot Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support will sort many anomalies

Does a quick disk repair before it fully boots up, and certain system caches get cleared and rebuilt, third party system modifications and system accelerations are disabled temporarily.

Login and test. Reboot as normal and test. Caches get rebuilt automatically.

This test will tell you if third party interference; most extensions etc are not loaded in safe boot mode.

—Test issue in another user (or guest user) account Change Users & Groups settings on Mac - Apple Support

This will tell you if it a universal issue or isolated to your user/admin account.

***wireless keyboard with rechargeable batteries— connect the charging cable, this will make the wired keyboard successful Safe Boot your Mac.

Thanks for your reply, Leroy!

I've restarted many times, didn't help.

Uninstalled Wipr, the only third party app that falls under the category that you mentioned. No dice.

All peripherals are unplugged.

Tried safe booting multiple times, same issue, even with the Apple TV App.

I've tried out other browsers. Streaming works just fine on Firefox and Chrome, but I prefer using Safari, which is why that's what I was focused on. In hindsight, that piece of information would've been helpful.

Also tried making a new user and testing it there, also doesn't work.

At this point, I'm kind of at a loss. One thing is streaming not working in Safari, but the fact that it's not even working in the Apple TV app is so strange to me.

Unless you know some more esoteric fixes for this, I guess I might have to go for a full OS reinstall.
