Do you have AppleCare? Get the serial number of your Mac, and then enter it here. AppleCare does cover accidental damage, but there will be a deductible. So, get this diagnosed with Apple. No one here has any say in your costs and services (and that is a good thing, BTW). You'd set up a Genius Bar Appointment be at your local Apple Store, during which the screen and all other necessities would be diagnosed.
