That looks like small scratches in the paint on the Capture Button. You can show it to Apple if you want, but they most assuredly tell you it's cosmetic, not covered by warranty and assuming the button functions as designed, not an issue to be concerned about. This, by the way, is a risk anyone takes if the Capture Button is fully exposed. Apple as well as other case manufacturers do sell cases, which have a Capture Button built into the case. I've been suing the Spigen case on my iPhone 16 Pro Max, which protects the Capture button completely. You might want to consider buying a case for your iPhone, which has a built in Capture Button to ensure there is no further cosmetic damage to your Capture Button.

Here is the case for iPhone 16 from Spigen: https://www.amazon.com/Spigen-Control-Coverage-Compatible-Magsafe/dp/B0DJG5HLH4/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3QJKVF470XKOK&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.DQSdYLJMbUjDlR9Ccv_MsmM49WryBn-JRSoHcz0UcuFtNtbG_tAJr-U7dVqFHzxq8u71q1nYC-p0D1Vu5hXyoOiODBj28ftUU2Ejm2S2oAi7***0AjegtuhTLScJk7lFgaYT4NChEKlmFeEWuWPGAVcHE4zkn4gBV9_TC96UWfRXHgJ3Z4_4K73IS4oEyKTBBgM9Rj6v4gKPzS9V7suCjROjYr9Xt8dGMomIJn_HBuo.ydTKw8WvSpHydm6ydJtCXeip4mfNStHJI80GH0FWiVU&dib_tag=se&keywords=spigen%2Biphone%2B16%2Bcase%2Bwith%2Bcamera%2Bcontrol&qid=1743348027&sprefix=spigen%2Biphone%2B16%2Bcase%2Bwith%2Bcamera%2Bcontrol%2Caps%2C159&sr=8-1&th=1

And if you go to Apple.com and look at their cases for iPhone 16, you'll see they too have a Camera Capture Button built in: https://www.apple.com/shop/accessories/all/magsafe?f=iphone16&fh=12b2bf%2B81eaf8&page=1
