How do I remove Memoji from iPhone?

Despite not using them in MONTHS, the memoji’s won’t leave my recently used and it’s driving me nuts. I’ve tried everything, deleting Memoji, turning off emojis, resetting keyboard dictionary, NOTHING works and I want them GONE. Literally used them one time now they’re stuck and so annoying
