Hash Key no longer works
My hash key stopped working. It’s usually Option + 3 which now does £.
Tried Alt + 3, Control + 3 and Command + 3 but none do a hash symbol.
Its listed on the [3] button but as a 'subscript', with £ as a superscript.
But I don't know how to activate the subscript option on a button?

Go to system settings > keyboard > text input > edit > all input sources and use the + and - buttons at the bottom to make that there is only one item on the list, and that the name of that item is British.

Shift+3 = #
Option+3 = £
Did you try Shift + 3 ?
