How do I replace lock screen camera icon with clock/timer widget?

Just got a 16e, and looked online how to customize the lock screen to replace the camera widget with another widget. Multiple similar explanations, plus a YouTube video, saying with iOS 18, you (1) press and hold for CUSTOMIZE, then minus sign to remove camera, then plus sign to add a different widget. However, it does not work. The only 'customization' is Wallpaper. The flashlight and camera are fixed/static, and no way to switch out for a different widget? That can't be. There must a way. Any ideas?

Thanks. I figured it out wholly by accident. The problem originated after I held onto Lock Screen and tapped Customize. The only 2 options were to change or add Wallpaper - no 'Lock Screen' appeared. But I fat-fingered something, maybe started to scroll or move sideways, and the option to modify the Lock Screen appeared. I went back to retrace my steps, but now the sequence of steps occurs as you describe above. There are now 2 options: the lock screen on the left, and wallpaper on the right.

Glad you figured it out. You’re most welcome.
