No. iOS 17 and 18 require an iPhone XR or newer.

No. Your iPhone 8 Plus can only be updated to iOS 16.7.10. You need an iPhone XR or later to run iOS 17, and ideally the latest iOS 18.

Many payment apps have stopped supporting older iOS versions. In this case, that payment app you are trying to use requires iOS 17, which you cannot update to.
You can't. The developers responsible for the UPI payment system have decided that they will no longer support your device. Apple has no say in the matter.

UPI has decided to no longer support older iPhones. This was a decision made by UPI.....not Apple.
If you want to use UPI apps, you will need a new phone.
