Still sharing location on WatchOS and iOS despite 'Share Location' off

I turned off share my location. I did that by navigating to Settings -> apple account -> Find My and turned off share my location. I am part of a family. It seems that both my phone and my apple watch that is not celular still sends location every few days. In my partner find my app it for example it shows apple watch last update 3 hours ago and the last location. Another example the phone was last update location 2 days ago and showing the location. Why if Share location is off my devices are still updating location from time to time and why is not completely off? How can I stop the device to send this updates so my location si completely private?

On your watch, open the "Find People" app, select "Me", scroll down and disable "Share My Location"

In case your watch has been set up for you using the Family Setup feature, there might be restrictions in place, which have to be removed on the iPhone that has been used to set up the Apple Watch.

Thank you for the reply. The Find people is off. The issue is that the location is not in real time. From time to time is updating the location. It can be even after 1 week. Then it will remain”last time seen 1 week ago” for example and then the last location. Not sure if is related to the fact that is sending last location so the device can be found offline. I happened also when was on Airplane mode and I landed it sent a location around the airport even if share location was off. Then got stuck to that location for days.
