Why does my iPad Pro 3rd generation stop charging?

So I’ve had some changing issues in the past. Were it just decides it doesn’t want to charge until I unplug it and turn it off and turn it back on by plugging the charger back in. But it’s been happening more and more lately. And now it likes to say charging was paused do to temperature. But it’s literally cold to the touch. And I just used a laser thermometer on it. And it’s at 54 degrees F. So it’s definitely not over heating. And thins seems to be happening every day now. Where I have to turn it off and turn it back on to start charging again. Oh and it’ll say it’s at like 68% but when I turn it back on it reads at 50% so idk if that’s even accurate anymore.

You might be best advised to seek assistance directly from Apple Support and request a remote diagnostic test of your iPad. You can contact the Support Team using the Support link at top-right or bottom-left of this page.

Alternatively, you can initiate and manage your support cases from Apple devices using the excellent Apple Support App. If not already installed, the App can be downloaded from the App Store:

You might also visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to test and assess your your iPad:
