How can I change SIM card number on my iPhone 16e?

it recognises the number on the SIM card even though I use my old number it will not let me change it .

You will have to work that out with your cellular provider. They should be able to help.

Apple has nothing to do with your SIM card. Instead, that is your carrier’s role and any issues should be taken up with them.
