Is DELL P2725QE compatible with the Mac Mini with M4?

I am planning on purchasing a DELL P2725QE monitor (https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/dell-pro-27-plus-4k-usb-c-hub-monitor-p2725qe/apd/210-brjb/monitors-monitor-accessories) to go with my new Mac Mini (M4). Is this setup going to work? Should I expect any issues?

Yes, It should work through the HDMI port directly without issue.

If you want to use the Display Port 1.4 port on the monitor, you will need an adapter. For example:

Also, remember you will need to connect the monitor's upstream USB-C port to one of the Mac Mini's USB-C ports to enable the downstream USB-C ports and ethernet port on the monitor.

Yes, however the M4 Mac mini's are very cable and adapter picky. Plus a lot of folks are having problems with the cheap poorly shielded manufacture supplied cables.

Instead of using a USB-C to DisplayPort adapter and the Dells supplied DisplayPort cable. Like Phil0124 suggest's, I also recommend getting and using a short 8K USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4 high speed cable.

for example: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BXLDJV3Y/ref=sspa_dk_detail_3?

Or optionally, a short high speed certified 8K 2.1 HDMI cable if you want to use the mac mini's HDMI port.

Thanks a lot for the recommendations... What about their soundbars, would they work just fine as well with the M4 Mini? I think so since the audio would go to the monitor either through the HDMI or the USB-C cable, the monitor should be able to handle it regardless of the source of the signal, right? I am interested in the following product:

You're welcome.

HDMI only supports audio out to monitors and displays with built-in speakers.

I do not have that monitor and sound bar to test. But it looks like you will also need a USB-C cable in addition to an HDMI cable to make that conferencing soundbar work.
