iPhone 13 Pro’s battery is draining too fast

Iphone 13 pro battery has a degraded battery after 3 yrs 4 months of moderate use... Took to apple store for anaylitics to be run . According to battery health im at 83% but have 879 battery cycles... I understand this model of phone battery is designed to do about 500 cycles... According to apple they will not replace until battery health is 80% or under.. So my apple care that ive carried since December 2021 wont cover a new battery and was advised by apple to basically disable everything that makes a smart phone "smart" and run on eco mode or buy new battery out of pocket... I currently have all background refreshs off, gps only while using on apps, email fetch set to manual ect....This is frustrating based on the high battery count of phone accumualted but according to "battery health" everything is o.k when the phone is technically almost 400 cycles over the suggested 500 battery cycle limit for this model.

I think there is a misunderstanding. When an iPhone’s battery reaches 80%, it is considered significant degraded and is recommended for replacement. Your iPhone’s average decline to that is 500 charge cycles. That is not a limit, but rather like a baseline. Your iPhone has a very good battery and has exceeded the manufacturer’s average decline, meaning you don’t have to pay for a battery replacement as soon as others. Note that your iPhone’s battery is not significantly degraded and is not due for replacement until it reaches 80% battery health or below. When it hits 80%, be sure to have the battery replaced. Also, note that AppleCare+ lasts for two years before it expires, and that has already expired long ago. Unless you have been renewing it ever since, you still have to pay for the battery replacement out of pocket.

Troubleshooting iPhone Battery Draining:

Unfortunately, there is no way to determine when nor why the Battery Health decreased. Apple won’t replace to until it reaches below 80%, and that is something you agreed to upon purchasing AppleCare. If you want a new battery, then stick with Apple; getting it replaced elsewhere may cancel the AppleCare.

A. Battery Drain Info:

The iPhone battery will drain, unless it is plugged in and charging. With lots installed, the charge would be slower. As for how fast it would drain the battery, that would depend on the battery health and the volume (sound) you use.
