iPhone always tries to connect FaceTime calls to my MacBook even when it's asleep

Whenever I get an incoming FaceTime call on my iPhone when it's on the same network as my MacBook, my iPhone automatically tries to transfer the call to my MacBook, even when the MacBook is in sleep mode. I have to manually select the disconnect option to answer the call on my iPhone.

I do not have my MacBook set up to stay connected to the network while sleeping.

How can I stop this behavior?

Thanks!

iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 18
