Why does my iPhone beep while charging with a specific cord?

I switched to a different cord for charging and it no longer beeps constantly

The beeping is caused by an intermittent connection between the iPhone and the power source. It could be a defective cable or defective charger.


Since you notice it only happens with one cable, it’s a pretty safe assumption that the cable is defective and should be recycled or disposed of. Defective cables to pose a risk of fire, and or personal injury and use should be discontinued immediately.
