Os 15.4 update stopped my other computers from accessing the computer

after I updated to 15.4, my Mac mini (being used as a hub for other computers to store/share on) it no longer shows the drive content on other connected computers.

I.e. I used to have every computer connect and backup to the "desktop>Folder" and then have access via that hub computer from others. However, since the update, the desktop folder shows on other computers, but it contains nothing. I checked to folder on the hub computer (Mac MINI) and all is well there... just not able to e seen from other computers.

I am assuming I need to reboot the connection so it is visible somehow?

Very difficult to try and fix on a forum. I'd recommend picking up the phone and calling AppleCare so they can guide you. First click AppleCare Contact Info and then:

  • Scroll down to Connect with live support
  • Select your country in the Choose Country section
  • Dial the phone number listed

Thanks for the idea, but I have tried that a few times.

To help refine the question, I can see computer A, from computer B in the normal way (it is listed under locations). However, when I connect using correct login info, I am presented with the standard set of folders that Mac OS generally provides:

Desktop

Documents

Downloads

Movies

Music

Pictures

Public

they all contain basically 0kb of data. If I select the desktop, it is empty.

I have tried this from 2 incoming computers and arrived at the same place.

Namely- nowhere. :)

Again, thanks for the starting point to begin the process of discovery.
