Sent an email last night with attachment, woke this morning to do same and just get a "Downloading..." blank space for every type of file. Tried installing latest update, restarting etc. At my wits end.

Problem solved with a reboot into safe mode, then restarting.
Further to this, I have just found out that files in my Downloads, Applications, System files are the only ones that attach.
Nothing on Dropbox, my desktop & User folder. So the OS thinks everything is offline, but all the Dropbox & desktop files are physically on my hard drive.
Also shut off dropbox and icloud and it still would not recognize files on hard drive. Just random folder as stated above.
Cannot add any file attachments to email, they just say "Downloading..."
