How do I delete a downloaded (but not yet installed) iPadOS update?

My iPad 10th gen is still on iPadOS 17, and I have no intention of updating to 18 now, but a few days ago it automatically downloaded the update file despite auto update and download off. Now it keeps annoying me with notifications asking me when to update. Previously I could just delete the file in storage settings, but it seems the option is not there anymore. Is there anything I can do or do I just update, which preferably, I don’t want to do.

If the update is not visible in the iPad Storage section of iPad settings, the update package hasn't been downloaded to your iPad. As such, as your iPad is capable of update to iPadOS 18.x, you will continue to see update notifications.

You would be well advised to install the available update for your iPad - as this update includes essential security updates for your iPad. If you don't install the update, your iPad will remain vulnerable to known security threats.
