Why is microphone on all the time on my iPhone?

When I'm not using any app that requires microphone use, on top of the screen, a microphone sign is on, sometimes it's an orange dot.

When it is an orange dot, it doesn't respond when you click it.

When it is a microphone, it goes to a blank screen when you click it.

It happens even after I turn off 'talk to Siri'.

How do I solve this?

Swipe down from the top right of your iPhone to open the Control Center, then in the top it should tell you what app is using your microphone. Also go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Microphone > Then toggle off any apps that you don't want access to the microphone, which could be using it without you knowing.
