Date and time column in mail disappeared and won't come back

This is on Ventura 13.6.9 on an iMac 27. Nothing changed hardware or software wise. The date and time column in column layout for mail disappeared and I can't get it back. I click on 'view show date and time' to turn it on and off and nothing, no date and time column. I've rebooted, changed 'view use column layout' on and off and no date and time column.

iMac 27″ 5K, macOS 13.6

Hello davidbod,

Right-click on the column headers and see if you can add those columns back (by putting a checkmark next to them).

Same issue. I can toggle "Date Sent" on and off, but "Date Received" shows checked (or unchecked) without any changes. This adds to the constant resizing of columns in my "All Inboxes" main window frustration whenever I click out and back into it ...
