Downloaded photos won't save in the most recent area of Photos app.

Let's say I'm downloading a set of photos from a text message. I download the photos on 4/3/25, however the photos were taken on 7/22/24. When I open my Photos App, the downloaded photos are not at the bottom where your most recent photos are taken. Instead, they populate chronologically in accordance to when the photo was taken. So they appear much further back in my camera roll.

I tried looking in setting to turn this off but there's no option and it's driving me nuts.

Well, this would depend on how you've chosen to sort the Library-- by date taken or by date added. If you want the pictures to be with the recently added pictures, then

you should change the sorting from Date Captured to Recently Added. Have you done this?

Note that this is in the Library view, scrolled above the Photos view.
