Trips in the Photos app are not showing on my new iPhone 16. They are all still on my old 11 as they were before. Does anyone know how I can rectify this please?

It might be because it's a "new iPhone 16!" It takes a while for Photos to scan through all your pictures, note things that might help with Memories and Trips, and then generate the Trips views. If it's been less that a couple of weeks that you may need to wait a bit more.
Make sure that "Show Featured Content" is turned on--that's available in the Apple ID button at the top right.
If you're new to iOS 18, be sure to look around in Settings>Apps>Photos, as well as the above button, for things you might want turned on or off. If you haven't upgraded to 18.4, you should do that.

Right-- those are things that Photos figures out on the fly-- they don't directly transfer. Trips are built locally-- it works even if not connected to iCloud. My Mac Library has somewhat different Trips than shown on my iPhone, even though their pictures are synchronized. Trips covering the same time don't have the same number of pictures.
Thank you for prompt reply. I have checked my settings which seem to be ok as you describe and I have tweaked a couple of things. As the phone is new to me by 1 week I will wait a couple of weeks and see what happens. FYI my Trips albums are still on my old Iphone11 - and I miss them here on 16e.!! I am grateful for your help.
