Here's a few things you can try.

To use your iPhone 14 solely as a camera, you can leverage the "Continuity Camera" feature to use your iPhone as a webcam for your Mac, or utilize third-party apps to stream your iPhone camera feed.

Here's a breakdown of how to use your iPhone 14 as a camera:

1. Using Continuity Camera (Mac):

  • Enable Continuity Camera:
  • On your iPhone, go to Settings > General > AirPlay & Continuity (or AirPlay & Handoff) and ensure "Continuity Camera" is turned on.
  • Connect to Mac:
  • Ensure your iPhone and Mac are near each other, have Bluetooth and Wi-Fi turned on, and your iPhone is not sharing its cellular connection and your Mac is not sharing its internet connection.
  • Use on Mac:
  • In a video call or application on your Mac that uses a camera, select your iPhone as the camera source.
  • Wireless or USB:
  • You can connect wirelessly or with a USB cable for a wired connection.

2. Using Third-Party Apps:

  • Download an app: Explore apps like "Epoc Cam" or "iGlasses" which allow you to stream your iPhone camera feed to your computer.
  • Connect to your computer: Follow the app's instructions to connect your iPhone to your computer via Wi-Fi or USB.
  • Use the camera feed: Select your iPhone as the camera source in video calls or applications.

3. Camera Basics:

  • Open Camera:
  • Tap the Camera app on the iPhone Home Screen, swipe left on the iPhone Lock Screen, or open Control Center and tap the camera icon.
  • Access Camera Modes:
  • Swipe left or right to access camera modes such as Time-Lapse, Slow-Mo, Cinematic, Video, Photo, Portrait, and Pano.
  • Adjust Focus and Exposure:
  • Tap the screen to show the automatic focus area and exposure setting, then tap where you want to move the focus area and adjust the exposure.
  • Lock Focus and Exposure:
  • Touch and hold the focus area until you see AE/AF Lock; tap the screen to unlock settings.
  • Access Filters:
  • Select the dropdown arrow then swipe left on the bottom of the screen to and select the Filters icon.
  • Take a Photo:
  • Tap the shutter button to take a photo.
  • Review and Edit:
  • After taking a photo, tap the preview at the bottom left to view, edit, delete, share, or favourite it.
